angry pressing against my lips
and the silence that followed it
our lover had taken herself away
betrayed us with a killing
left us both in exquisite pain
with no one to cry to
for our own unforgiving betrayals
deemed selfish girl and cruel boy worthless
and so she defines it:
allies in darkness.
